Workshop for teenagers from 12 years up
The workshop follows the performance. In it, students will have the opportunity to reflect in more detail on the themes touched upon in the production. We will talk about how difficult it is to make your opinion known in public and what possibilities today's times offer. We will touch on the theme of individual experience of freedom and the acceptability of its limitations. We will also focus on a chapter from historian Timothy Snyder's book Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the 20th Century. Last but not least, the workshop will introduce the students to real-life witnesses from Brno and its surroundings who fled across the Iron Curtain and whose stories were recorded by the Memory of the Nation project.
The duration is 30-45 minutes.
