Vernissage and scenic reading: Fairy tales of Mr. Garden and Mrs. Peony (Pohádky pana Zahrádky a paní Pivoňkové)

Every garden is magical. But the one peed on by an angel a little more!

On Thursday, 27 March at 4.30 p.m. the foyer of the Radost Theatre will host the vernisage of Klára Břicháčková's illustrations for the book Fairy Tales of Mr Garden and Mrs Peony. During the opening you can look forward not only to meeting the authors of the book Radek Malý and Markéta Pilátová and the illustrator Klára Břicháčková, but also to a staged reading with our actors under the guidance of director Michal Moravec. The exhibition is held in cooperation with the HOST publishing house.

The fairy tales of Mr. Garden and Mrs. Peony tell the stories of two completely different gardeners - a caring retired clerk and a free-thinking scientist in a kimono - whom chance has made neighbours and put only a flimsy fence between them. These stories could easily take place in your own backyard. There is no shortage of inspiration and practical ideas, but no shortage of magical themes either. How else can you do it when Mr. Gardener's garden has just been peed on by an angel!
