Announcement of the Passing of Tomáš Volkmer

With deep sorrow, we have received the news of the passing of set designer and puppeteer Tomáš Volkmer, who left this world after a short and serious illness.

For Theatre Radost, Tomáš was not only an exceptional visual artist, but also a person with whom it was a joy to create, to talk — and to share silence. His work with us always bore his distinctive signature: an eye for detail, playfulness, gentle humor, and the rare ability to give a puppet a soul.
